My walk to work daily takes me through the old Jewish ghetto of Budapest. It was historically the Jewish quarter, but the Nazis and their Hungarian lackeys in the Arrow Cross party turned it into a ghetto in 1944, and rounded up the city’s Jews to imprison them there. This map from the US Holocaust Museum shows its boundaries:
