More On The Coming Civil Wars
And: USA's Woke Right; Burning Jews In Boulder; 'Digital Solitude'; Poland Goes Right

On Friday, I participated in a private meeting with some politicians from Germany’s leading political party, Alternative For Germany (AfD), who were in Budapest attending CPAC Hungary. It was held under Chatham House rules, so I can’t quote anybody. I can tell you, though, that they spoke of the things the German state, as well as private institutions and people, do to punish and marginalize them for wrongthink on migration. As bad as you think it is, it’s much worse. In fact, if I were to repeat them here — and I’ll look for an opportunity to interview some of them in the future, on the record — you would find it difficult to believe this is happening in a Western democracy. I’m talking about things like the leaked, 1,000-page German secret intelligence report, used in a failed attempt to label the party “extremist” — a preliminary step to banning it — in which (for example) one legislator from the party was cited as a pre-Nazi for tweeting merely that there’s nothing wrong with being German. (Here’s a link to AfD leader Alice Weidel’s CPAC Hungary speech.)
The lengths to which the ruling class in Germany will go to suppress discussion of the migration problem moves through soft totalitarianism up to the border of hard totalitarianism. This is no exaggeration. And it’s not just the state, but all the respectable institutions of German society.
This is exactly what J.D. Vance was talking about in his Munich address, which warned European elites that their gravest national security threat is not abroad, but within — a threat that they are determined to ignore. Rather than discuss it openly, and debate it democratically, they are throttling discussion by vilifying people who notice, and who don’t like it.
Meanwhile, the problem is moving rapidly to a breaking point. There was just a second night of soccer-related rioting in Paris by Arab and African youth.
This is what they got up to the other day (via Marion Maréchal on X). They are desecrating a statue of Joan of Arc. Notice the one carrying the Palestinian flag:
Desecrating national symbols like this is a sign of cultural revolution.
Via Max Remington’s newsletter, I see that Prof. David Betz, the Kings College London war studies professor who has lately been warning (for example, in this podcast) of civil war coming to Britain and western Europe, has just published his second journal article about the matter.
