I don't know, my first thought was just how utterly trite, predictable, and boring that spectacle was. The usual dull hive-mind idiocy.

It was crap for sure. The French couldn’t even feature their own stars repeatedly turning to foreigners like Celine Dion, Serena Williams, Nadal, and Carl Lewis. The production was sloppy. The whole thing was an embarrassment.

True although Celine is a native French speaker, being from Quebec. Her late husband was some flavor of Eastern Rite Catholic although I’m not sure which one. Don’t know what her beliefs are. I wish her well in dealing with her illness.

I saw where she’s donated to a bunch of gay causes so not that different than most celebs.

I have a confession. I guess I was reading another site and not watching but just listening when the Last Supper horror came up. I had to watch replays. I was distracted and off to other sites because yes, it was indeed to trite and boring, interrupted only by a few silly men in skirts and ubiquitous half naked women that are really everywhere, not just in the Olympic show, and that do not interest me in the slightest. And a not-too-good song from Lady Gaga. (Celine Dion was an exception to all this. Classic. Magnificent.)

I only hope "Life is a Cabaret" is not coming true. (perversion in Berlin as prelude to horror)
